Dorset Families

The Thanksgiving celebration started early this year at The Dorset School (TDS). On Wednesday, November 19th, parents, grandparents, and brothers and sisters joined with students for a festive lunch of turkey, dressing and all the fixings at the school’s annual Holiday Feast.

“Every year this gathering brings together the TDS family,” said TDS Principal Rossana Moran. “We have so much to be thankful for and it’s important that we find the time to appreciate our community. This is a special place.”

The Thanksgiving observance at TDS comes about with the help of multiple contributors. The Dorset Parent Volunteers play a major role in decorating the gymnasium and dishing out the food for students and guests. The Equinox Nursery donates the pumpkins and gourds that adorn the tables and add a holiday flare. And last, but not least, the school’s kitchen crew prepared a meal fit for a few hundred guests at each of two settings.
